Sometimes a single piece of vintage-looking furniture is all it takes to bring that classic ambiance to your home. Read on and find out what these not-so-classical pieces are.
Step Ladder
Have a step ladder that’s collecting dust and rust in your storage? If it’s too wobbly to be used, forget about throwing it away. Put it instead in your backyard to serve as a shelf for your plant containers. A little paint or dusting is all it takes and you’ve got a conversational piece that didn’t cost you a dime! If you have a rather longer ladder which makes it dangerous to be a container shelf, why not hang it on your porch ceiling instead? It can either be a horizontal trellis or hold some of your light bulbs for a rustic look.
Old Bike
If it doesn’t get you places anymore, get a new lease on life for your old bike by turning it into a charming plant container. It may not be a good mode of transportation now but by parking it in your backyard, it will now serve as your new plants’ home to grow and bloom in. Just one look at your backyard and your old bike will surely exude that vintage backyard look everyone loves.
Wheelbarrow
Making it easier for you to do what could otherwise have been a backbreaking work, your old wheelbarrow may be rickety and rusty now. So why not give it a fresh coat of paint and be your alternative bottle dump for when parties happen? It definitely looks better than the formless trash bags you usually use. And once again, it has helped you in reducing your tasks as a host! Just remember that it should be stable to avoid a loud crash and a million pieces of glass lying around.
